In 2015 Uber—the popular transportation service—began operating in the mountains of Colorado, allowing skiers to easily and conveniently travel around town. Now, the service is catering further to the ski community, by offering UberSKI. The function gives users the option to request trucks or vehicles equipped with a ski rack to haul their gear.
While catching a ride on the town shuttle will still be the most cost-efficient option, there’s now a convenient solution for Uber account holders looking for a private ride to and from the slopes. One needs only to pop open their Uber app, type in their destination and hit the “UberSKI” option. Then, a friendly chauffeur will arrive in a vehicle with the capacity to fit four passengers and their ski gear.
This ski season UberSKI is available in Breckenridge, Keystone, Vail, Aspen and Steamboat, Colorado; Sun Valley, Idaho; Salt Lake City and Park City, Utah; Lake Tahoe, Nevada/California; Bozeman and Kalispell, Montana; Taos and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
